Omo’ba Hammed Aroyewun, Executive Chairman, Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA) has endorsed the annual GLOWFUX Charity Concert 2025, and assured the organisers of the annual event of his total support.

Aroyewun, whose daughter has been an ambassador of GLOWFUX for about four years, gave the pledge when the organisers visited him in his office on Wednesday to present him and his family with the official t-shirts of the concert.

The council chairman also assured that he would be attending the event to celebrate the yuletide season with children especially those from various orphanage homes that the group on an annual basis raises support for.

“This is our own event as I always say. Moreover, the initiative is laudable and with the joy it always brings to our children whenever they are going to attend. About four years ago when they started going, there were about 16 of them or so, if you see the joy in their faces.

“As parents, we feel that there is a need to do more for all of them to participate in this laudable event which is a selfless service. It brings unity among the children; they bond and build new relationships.

“That year, I could remember, they came back around 10pm and you need to see the joy on their faces. So, it’s very important we should give the necessary support and for me and my family I can assure you we’re 100 percent on this. We are going to support this cause and I’m also happy the extra invites one of which is for the Archievers’ Crew.

“I was just thinking this morning about the need to mobilise our people for the event because that is what we do every year even before getting into office and that would not change this year. We will continue to give our support. You can always count on my support for this because I appreciate what you do which is a selfless service and not as if you’re benefiting anything from it.”

Aroyewun lauded the GLOWFUX team for the initiative which he has described as helping children to grow in a positive direction.

“Through this, you care for those in need and celebrate with them and you also use the occasion to enlighten and educate our children on how to care, love and show compassion to others. The event usually brings out confidence in them. I have a very sharp daughter but her being part of GLOWFUX has improved her confidence level.

“I want to thank you for the opportunity that you have provided for our children and those in need. I thank you very much and I really appreciate you. Rest assured that we have made provision for our children and their parents to be part of this year’s GLOWFUX Charity Concert and we would also be there,” Chairman Aroyewun assured.

Mr. Babatunde Amakaiye Olowu, a member of the GLOWFUX Advisory Board, speaking on behalf of the board commended the council helmsman for his support for GLOWFUX over the years and also for the impacts that he has been able to make in the last few months of his emergence as the Executive Chairman, Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA.

He also added that the good things that he has been hearing about his administration made him want to be part of the visiting team.

“Now, there’s a saying that “who desires good should first be good,“ I have been briefed about your involvement with your family especially your daughter and the role your wife had played in the past years in sustaining the GLOWFUX. This really motivated me to shown interest to come along with them

“So, I have nothing much to say other than to thank you for all you’ve been doing because like I said I have heard a lot about you outside the GLOWFUX.”

The board member also thanked the council chairman for his intervention in securing this year’s venue for GLOWFUX Charity Concert in Anthony.

The initiator of the GLOWFUX Charity Concert, Mr. Olubode Mac. Oserinde, who presented the branded GLOWFUX shirts to the chairman, also recalled his support in the years past and thanked Aroyewun for always identifying with the initiative.

“We thank you for your acceptance of the project long before you emerged as chairman of Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA. You have always been identifying with the project since your darling daughter became an ambassador and also extending your kind of love. We sincerely appreciate that and it has always been our prayer to all the parents of the ambassadors that God will continue to bless and embrace them to greater heights.”

Requesting the chairman to invite members of the Achievers’ Crew, Oserinde said that the group’s aim agrees with that of the GLOWFUX which is propagation of charity, empowering the needy and community development.

In his brief remarks, another member of the GLOWFUX board and the Publisher/Reporter – in – Chief, THE IMPACT newspaper, Kunle Adelabu, also thanked the council boss for his support and emphasised that the aim of the initiative is to support people in need by getting them food items and other household utensils, show them love and train children on how to care for others from their teens.
